- >>How is current 3rd party support? What's new (hardware
- and software)? What's up with NewTek and Amiga? Any new graphic
- cards out?>>
-
- Newtek has released Lightwave 4 for Amiga, PC, MIPS, Alpha, and SGI. Also,
- Toaster / Flyer 4.1. They are sai dto be in close discussions with Amiga
- Technologies / Escom.
-
- Graphic Cards - The most famous one is the CyberGraphics board. Picasso 2
- and others are still available.
-
- ProPage has been discontinued at V4.1, but SoftLogik is working on
- Pagestream 3.1 for Amiga and PC (3.0i is available now).
-
- Doom has been proven to be possible on the Amiga ;-) Now some games
- support graphics cards, such as the Cybergraphics.
-
- deluxePaint is at version 5, and looks like it will stay there, too.
- However, Imagemaster, ImageFX, Photogenics, XI Paint, Personal Paint
- continue to be upgraded. VistaPro has stopped at V3, but has been
- superceded by Worl Construction Set for Amiga and PC.
-
- ZIP drives (SCSI version) work on ANY SCSI equipped Amiga (as they should,
- on any SCSI equipped platform) with no drivers or anything. I suspect JAZ
- drives are the same.
-
- The 060 board has been released for A2000, A4000, and A1200, soon for
- A3000. Amiga Technologies has a plan for AmigaDOS 4, written for the
- PowerPC chip. They hope to have the PPC chip running in all Amigas, by
- 1997.
-
- GVP has gone out of business, but has been "reborn" as GVP-M, TekMagic.
-
- Erm... Goldeneye was made by Amigas attached to Raptor renderers running
- Lightwave 3D....
-
- What else, dudes? Comon!
